Magformers attended two first-time children’s shows in the UK last week as we took our new Mobile Merchandise Unit on the road to Kidtropolis and the Digital Kids Show.

First up was Kidtropolis – a new event at the Excel centre in London’s docklands. Over three days we had thousands of visitors to the stand, which was manned by our superb Demonstration Manager, Matt Donald.

Matt used to be the demo guru at Hamleys and he wowed kids and parents with his 2D to 3D pull up techniques, which he learned on a recent trip to Magformers HQ in Korea.

It’s fair to say that all the children who came to our stand were blown away by our unique magnetic construction toy and the insane amount of models that any child can build with just a few pieces.

As soon as Kidtropolis was over, we headed off to the Digital Kids Show in Manchester. This was a fantastic event which featured some amazing gaming stands, but our construction toys also went down a storm.

Kids just couldn’t get enough of Magformers and we launched a #lookwhatimade twitter campaign as children mobbed our stand and got building like crazy.

We were also lucky enough to meet some great parent bloggers like @Ang_thisislife, @wendymcd83, @tiredmummyoftwo, @gingermumblog and @fourlittleblog.

Northern sales manager, Chris Singleton, was also on hand alongside Matt to demonstrate Magformers – and despite being a massive gamer he never managed a single go on any of the tech stands, as we were so busy.
